This set of courses requires a 3.00 minimum GPA for BSN admission consideration.

*MATH 1315¹- College Algebra

HIST 1310² - US History I

HIST 1320²- US History II

POSI 2310³ - Principals of American Government

POSI 2320³ - Functions of American Government

PSY 1300 - Intro to Psychology

*HDFS 1351 or PSY 3300 - Lifespan Development

*NUTR 2360 - Nutrition Science

 

Science Prerequisites

This set of courses requires a 3.00 minimum GPA for BSN admission consideration.

*BIO 24514- Human Anatomy & Physiology I

*BIO 24524 - Human Anatomy & Physiology II

*BIO 24405 - Principles of Microbiology

*BIO 13306 - Functional Biology

*CHEM 13416 - General Chemistry I

¹We will also accept: MATH 1319, MATH 1329, MATH 2417 or MATH 2471. AP/IB credit is acceptable. If you will be using AP/IB credits for your prerequisites, please send AP/IB transcript to the testing center

²We will also accept any 060 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable.

³We will also accept any 070 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable

4These courses must be current and completed within the last 5 years.

5We will also accept BIO 2400.

6These courses do not require labs.  We will also accept AP credit or “CR” in one, but not both courses.

*These courses require a minimum grade of ‘C’.

Note:

  • These prerequisites are used to determine BSN application GPA’s, but please ensure you have completed all prerequisites including the core curriculum.
  • At least 3 of the 5 science prerequisites MUST be completed (and transcripts received) at the time of application submission to remain the most competitive.  Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered and are automatically disqualified. 
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II (BIO 2451 and BIO 2452) MUST be current and completed within the past 5 years to be eligible. Attempts made to meet this policy will not be counted within the maximum attempts policy.
