  • TEAS Test Information

    • We HIGHLY RECOMMEND preparing for this exam BEFORE taking it. ATI recommends at least 6 weeks of preparation prior to taking the TEAS. Please note that test scores will not be available to us immediately, so it is crucial that you provide a processing time buffer of at least 2 weeks to ensure your scores are submitted to us in time to process your application. ATI test scores not officially received by the deadline will not be considered. Please allow ample time for testing processing.

    • Applicants must complete the ATI TEAS Nursing exam.

      Accepted test types:

      • BSN
      • ADN

The Allied Health TEAS exam is not accepted. Please confirm your test type with your testing center before taking the exam.

    • TEAS Testing Options

The ATI TEAS exam may be taken either online through ATI with remote proctoring or in person at an approved testing center.

      Texas State University Testing Centers

Texas State University offers both in-person and online proctored TEAS testing.

      ATI Remote Proctored Testing

ATI also offers remote, proctored TEAS testing. Please contact ATI directly for additional information.

      National Testing Centers

Students may also take the ATI TEAS through a PSI Testing Center. Visit the national ATI TEAS testing center to find participating locations throughout the United States.

*If you take the ATI TEAS twice, both attempts must fall within the application date range for the admission cycle in which you are applying.

      ATI Test Resources

ATI offers the following resources to prepare for the ATI TEAS:

      • ATI TEAS
        • TEAS Smart Prep
        • TEAS Basic Package
        • TEAS Online Practice Test
        • TEAS Study Manual

The internet also has many resources for free TEAS practice questions.

    • Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the two-attempt policy.

The St. David's School of Nursing accepts the first two ATI TEAS attempts completed during the application period for each admission cycle.

      Requirements:

      • If two attempts are taken, a minimum of 30 days must separate the two attempts.
      • The second attempt may be taken in any format, regardless of how the first attempt was completed (online or in person).
      • Plan accordingly to complete both attempts before your application deadline and allow at least 2 weeks for score processing.
    • We will no longer accept PDF copies of the ATI TEAS Score Performance Profile. All BSN applicants are now required to submit their ATI test score transcripts directly to Texas State University by selecting to send the official transcripts to either campus (Round Rock or San Marcos). Test score transcripts must include the following information:

      • Overall score
      • Test type
      • Test date
      • Testing institution
      • Applicant's full name

Failure to send St. David’s School of Nursing both attempts on an official ATI transcript (if two attempts were taken) will result in denial of admission.

*Information on how to submit your ATI TEAS transcripts can be found through ATI
