This set of courses requires a 3.00 minimum GPA for BSN admission consideration.

MATH 1315*- College Algebra

We will also accept: MATH 1319, MATH 1329, MATH 2417 or MATH 2471. AP/IB credit is acceptable. If you will be using AP/IB credits for your prerequisites, please send AP/IB transcript to the testing center

HIST 1310 - US History I

We will also accept any 060 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable.

HIST 1320- US History II

We will also accept any 060 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable.

POSI 2310 - Principals of American Government

We will also accept any 070 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable.

POSI 2320 - Functions of American Government

We will also accept any 070 core curriculum equivalent. AP/IB credit is acceptable.

PSY 1300 - Intro to Psychology

HDFS 1351* or PSY 3300* - Lifespan Development

NUTR 2360* - Nutrition Science

*These courses require a minimum grade of ‘C’.

Science Prerequisites

This set of courses requires a 3.00 minimum GPA for BSN admission consideration.

BIO 2451*- Human Anatomy & Physiology I

These courses must be current and completed within the last 5 years.

BIO 2452* - Human Anatomy & Physiology II

These courses must be current and completed within the last 5 years.

BIO 2440* - Principles of Microbiology

We will also accept BIO 2400.

BIO 1330* - Functional Biology

These courses do not require labs.  We will also accept AP credit or “CR” in one, but not both courses.

CHEM 1341* - General Chemistry I

These courses do not require labs.  We will also accept AP credit or “CR” in one, but not both courses.

*These courses require a minimum grade of ‘C’.

 

Notes:

  • These prerequisites are used to determine BSN application GPA’s, but please ensure you have completed all prerequisites including the core curriculum.
  • To qualify for admission consideration, at least 3 of the 5 sciences must be completed (and transcripts received) by end of Fall 2025. 
  •  Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II (BIO 2451 and BIO 2452) MUST be current and completed within the past 5 years to be eligible. Attempts made to meet this policy will not be counted within the maximum attempts policy.
