BSN Admission Phases and Requirements

There are two phases of BSN Admission.  The application opens on September 15, 2025 for all applicants, but there are varying requirements and deadlines.  Please see chart below: 

PRIORITY ADMISSION

Now closed.

Priority Admission Status emails were sent on 2/6. 

GENERAL ADMISSION CURRENT

General Admission Status emails were sent on 2/27. 

GENERAL ADMISSION_NON- CURRENT

Non Current Admisson Status emails have been sent to TXST Bobcat email accounts. 

 Applicants will need to Activate net id and set up Bobcat email account to view email. 

For active TXST students ready to apply who meet the higher minimum GPAs, TEAS scores and requirements below.For active students enrolled at TXST Spring 2026 or before.For transfer and inactive/returning students beginning Fall 2026.

Jan. 16, 2025-Jan.15, 2026

Jan. 16, 2025-Mar. 15, 2026

 

  • NURS Prerequisite GPA: 3.0- or higher
  • SCI GPA: 3.4 or higher
  • TEAS Overall Score: Advanced 80% or higher
  • 3 of 5 sciences must be completed (and transcripts received) by end of Fall 2025 
  • All prerequisites completed by end of Spring 2026
  • Deadline for application submittal: December 15, 2025

 

  • NURS GPA : 3.0 or higher
  • SCI GPA: 3.0 or higher
  • TEAS Overall Score: Proficient 65% or higher
  • 3 of 5 sciences must be completed (and transcripts received) by end of Fall 2025 
  • All prerequisites completed by end of Summer 2026
  • Deadline for application submittal: January 15, 2026

 

  • NURS GPA : 3.0 or higher
  • SCI GPA: 3.0 or higher
  • TEAS Overall Score: Proficient 65% or higher
  • 3 of 5 sciences must be completed (and transcripts received) by end of Fall 2025 
  • All prerequisites completed by end of Summer 2026
  • Must apply to TXST by Feb. 15, 2026, and be accepted to TXST and receive a student identification number (ie: A0XXXXXXX) before being eligible to apply. 
  • Proof of acceptance to TXST is required to be uploaded during application submission.
  • Deadline for application submittal: March 15, 2026

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS

1) Submission of video interview for holistic review.

2) Submission of healthcare/life/military/work experience, if applicable.

3)Submission of unofficial transcripts for ALL coursework and remaining prerequisites not already accounted for on the TXST trascript.  This is more specific for transfer/returning students and TXST students taking courses away from TXST. 

4) Payment of $60 NURSINGCAS fee and $26.75 TXST supplemental application fee.
