    Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals of Austin and Round Rock are looking for graduate nurses to join our Spring 2023 residency cohort in February. We have dayshift and nightshift positions for med-surg and intensive care level units. The 9 week residency program includes time on the unit with certified preceptors, online learning modules, live classes with skills training and case studies, shadow experience with ancillary departments such as wound care, respiratory therapy, and case management; will also receive ACLS certification prior to graduating the residency program.

    Qualifications and Skills: 

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an RN (Infusion experience a plus)
    • Familiarity with vitamin infusions a plus
    • Current RN license in good standing
    • Excellent IV skills required
    • Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
    • Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Strong technological skills (EMR software knowledge a plus)
    • Able to communicate clearly through texts, emails, and via phone
    • Able to meet required report deadlines

    Job Description

    • Treatment of infants, children, and/or adolescents according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel
    • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies

    Independent contractor RN to do case management for disabled couple.

    My 66 yo son in Austin Txs moved his disabled 90 yo dad & his disabled wife from Arizona to San Marcos Texas so he could help them. His dad’s Medicare insurance supplement plan does not seem to be adequately providing for their needs in San Marcos. According to my son, both dad & his wife are in need of help finding resources. My son works full-time remotely in addition to being the case manager for the family. He was spending weeks at a time in Arizona which was getting impossible to manage so he bought his dad a new house in San Marcos. I am trying to help my son locate services because the insurance company has not been helpful. I would like to locate an RN case manager to take over for my son but I have not been successful in my search. I live in California so I am helping from a distance.
